Tunes Drifting Atop the Ox <기우취적(騎牛吹笛): 소 등에 실린 가락>은 고전 회화인 기우취적도와 십우도(十牛圖)의 맥락 위에 불교의 공(空)사상을 시각화한 작업입니다. 작품 속 흰 소는 수행자가 길들여야 할 마음을 상징합니다. 마음이란 본래 실체 없이 비어 있으며, 그저 이름으로 존재할 뿐이라는 불교의 공 사상을 투명한 유리 심장에 빗대어 표현했습니다. This work visualizes the Buddhist philosophy of Sunyata (Emptiness), rooted in the classical motifs of the ”Ten Bulls“ and traditional ox-riding paintings. The white ox symbolizes the mind that a practitioner must tame. Through the metaphor of a glass heart, I have portrayed the essence of Sunyata—the realization that the mind possesses no inherent substance and exists only as a mere name.
