Moon rabbits make the elixir of eternal life In East Asian cultures, there is a folklore that a rabbit lives on the moon. This belief comes from the pattern on the moon's surface that resembles a rabbit pounding rice cakes. The moon rabbit is said to spend its days pounding rice cakes or making an elixir of immortality to offer to the immortals. Based on this folklore, I have depicted the moon rabbits creating the elixir of immortality in an animation style.

I have been exploring Korean traditional culture and the symbols found in classical paintings, selecting and reinterpreting them through the traditional techniques of Western painting. Alongside this work, I am also developing a series featuring various bears and their friends.
