[ENG SUB] 이 작품은 작가가 서울 나들이 중 경복궁에 핀 벚꽃을 관찰하며 그린 선묘 드로잉 시리즈다. 여리해 보이는 벚꽃에서 오히려 동물적 생명력을 느꼈다. 나무의 단단한 수피를 뚫고 흘러나온 꽃의 물관을 모세혈관처럼 보고, 그 집요한 생명력을 선의 세밀한 중첩으로 표현했다. 또한 ‘피어나다’ 시리즈와 마찬가지로, 왼손으로 볼펜을 잡고 오른손으로 색을 입히는 독특한 이중 손 기법을 사용하여, 꽃을 식물과 동물의 모세혈관을 연상시키는 추상적 형태로 구현했다. This series of line drawings was created while the artist observed cherry blossoms at Gyeongbokgung Palace during a stroll in Seoul. The delicate blossoms seemed fragile, yet they conveyed a strikingly animal-like vitality. The artist perceived the flower’s vascular system, emerging through the tree’s rigid bark, as capillaries, and expressed this persistent life through intricate layering of lines. Using a unique dual-hand technique— holding a pen with the left hand while applying color with the right, similar to the “Blooming” series— the flowers are rendered as abstract forms reminiscent of both plant and animal capillaries.
