[ENG SUB] 이 작품은 감정을 묘사하기보다, 감정이 지나간 뒤에도 화면에 남아 있는 에너지의 상태를 기록한다. 작가는 화가 났을 때의 심리를 특정 서사나 사건으로 설명하지 않는다. 대신 색과 점의 반복적 축적을 통해 감각의 흐름이 화면 위에 자연스럽게 정착되도록 한다. 점묘에 가까운 자동기술적 행위는 통제된 표현을 벗어나, 감정이 스스로 형태를 만들어 가는 과정에 가깝다. 붉은 색층들이 서로 밀고 겹치며 형성하는 화면은 분노의 순간 그 자체가 아니라, 그 이후에도 쉽게 사라지지 않고 남아 있는 잔열과 같은 상태를 암시한다. 이는 감정을 대상화하기보다, 감정과 함께 존재하는 시간과 밀도, 그리고 잔상을 회화적으로 드러내는 시도다. 이 작업은 이전의 드로잉 중심 표현에서 벗어나, 감정을 색과 형태, 그리고 수채라는 물성으로 본격적으로 전환시킨 지점에 위치한다. 감정은 더 이상 선이나 제스처로 전달되지 않고, 점의 축적과 색의 밀도를 통해 화면 안에서 스스로 구조를 형성하기 시작한다. Rather than depicting emotion itself, this work records the state of energy that remains after emotion has passed. The artist refrains from narrating anger as a psychological event. Instead, color and the repetitive accumulation of dots are allowed to settle onto the surface through a process akin to automatism. This approach moves beyond controlled expression, approaching a state in which emotion forms its own structure. The layered reds, pressing and overlapping across the surface, evoke not the moment of anger, but its afterheat — a residual intensity that lingers beyond the initial surge. The painting reveals emotion not as an image, but as duration, density, and trace. Positioned at a point of transition in the artist’s practice, this work marks a shift from earlier drawing-based expressions toward a fuller engagement with color, form, and the materiality of watercolor. Emotion is no longer carried by line or gesture, but begins to structure itself through the accumulation of dots and the density of color.
