[ENG SUB] 〈강원도 철원 한탄강 재인폭포〉는 이곳에서 작가가 직접 마주한 경험에서 출발한다. 폭포의 우렁찬 소리, 공중으로 튀어 오르는 물방울, 그리고 공간 전체를 채우는 생동감은 단순한 시각적 풍경을 넘어 하나의 감각적 사건으로 작가에게 각인되었다. 향설 김현지 작가는 이러한 현장의 감각을 빠른 붓의 흐름과 수채의 번짐을 통해 즉각적으로 포착하는 동시에, 나뭇잎과 폭포 아래 물웅덩이에 형성된 물결의 파장에는 점묘적 표현을 가미한다. 겹쳐지는 색과 리듬감 있는 터치, 그리고 반복되는 점들은 물의 낙하와 확산, 공기의 진동을 화면 위에 중첩시키며, 풍경을 ‘보는 대상’이 아닌 ‘현장에서 경험한 상태’로 전환한다. 이 작품은 여행 중 마주한 자연의 생기와 에너지가 회화적으로 응축된 사례이자, 이후 작가가 감각의 풍경을 점묘적 언어로 확장해 나아가는 방향을 예고하는 중요한 기준점이 된다. This work originates from the artist’s direct encounter with Jaein Falls along the Hantangang River in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province. The thunderous sound of the waterfall, the scattering water droplets, and the vibrant energy filling the space were experienced not merely as a visual scene, but as a sensory event. Hyangseol Kim Hyunji captures these sensations through fluid brushwork and the translucency of watercolor, while introducing subtle point-based elements in the depiction of leaves and rippling water beneath the falls. Layered washes, rhythmic gestures, and repeated points overlap to register the fall and dispersion of water and the vibration of air, transforming the landscape from an object of observation into a state of lived experience.
