[ENG] 〈빛〉은 한때 형상과 숲을 이루던 점들이 순수한 에너지로 녹아드는 순간을 포착합니다. 젯소를 바른 나무 패널 위에 쌓인 노란색 층들은 햇살, 꽃가루, 수액, 먼지처럼 다양한 자연의 입자를 떠올리게 하지만, 어느 하나에도 고정되지 않습니다. 미세한 점과 짧은 흔적들이 번짐을 조각내어, 빛이 공기 중에 머무는 시간을 천천히 늘려 놓은 듯한 느낌을 줍니다. 이 작품에서 점묘는 더 이상 형상을 만들기 위한 도구가 아니라, 빛 자체가 구조를 만들어가는 방식입니다. 노랑과 황토의 미묘한 농담 차이는 강렬한 정서의 절정이 아니라, 남은 잔열처럼 화면 곳곳에 머뭅니다. 특정 풍경이나 사건을 떠올리게 하기보다, 한 번 스쳐간 감정이 사라지지 않고 미세한 진동으로 남은 상태를 기록하며, 점과 색의 리듬이 화면 전체를 지탱합니다. 흰 여백은 단순히 비어 있는 공간이 아니라, 아직 이름 붙지 않은 감각이 머무는 자리입니다. 관람자의 시선은 노란 입자 사이를 따라 움직이며, 이것이 흩어지는 햇빛인지, 내면에서 서서히 밝아지는 감정인지 스스로 질문하게 만듭니다. 화면 앞에서, 빛은 외부에서 비추는 것이 아니라 작품과 관람자 사이에서 조용히 발생하는 어떤 상태로 경험됩니다. Light captures a moment where dots, once forming figures and forests, dissolve into pure energy. Layers of yellow wash across the gessoed wooden panel, evoking sunlight, pollen, sap, and dust simultaneously—yet none of these are fixed or confined. Tiny dots and short strokes break the washes into fragments, stretching the time light seems to linger in the air. Here, pointillism is no longer a tool for forming shapes but a way for light itself to create structure. Variations of yellow and ochre linger like the afterglow of intense emotion rather than its peak. Rather than recalling a specific landscape or event, the work records the subtle vibrations of a fleeting feeling, with color density and rhythmic dots holding the canvas together. The white space is not empty but a place for unlabeled sensations. Viewers’ eyes move among the yellow particles, questioning whether they are witnessing sunlight scattering or sensing the gradual illumination of an inner emotion. In front of the canvas, light is experienced not as something external, but as a quiet state arising between the work and the observer.
